I’d say the founding parents did a p¡ss-poor job of setting up the system to prevent it from happening

We have a whole amendment for the situation. The guy should be impeached but he’s also clearly incompetent and unstable at this point

Ehhh they were a coalition of landowners, merchants, and lawyers with deeply conflicting interests. Many were slaveholders who wrote “all men are created equal” while legally owning people. The Revolution was partly motivated by protecting colonial economic interests from British regulation, not purely philosophical liberty. It's not off base to suggest that Donald Trump is the pinnacle of America's long standing hypocrisy. He's not an anomaly, he's the standard in purest form.

Wdym they did a great a job, if it wasn’t for our institutional guard rails we would be fucked, everything happening right now is a result of Americans being stupid, we allowed this to happen back when we allowed republicans to deny obamas Supreme Court pick and here we are now, a republic Supreme Court and congress filled with loyalists

well we fucking failed the instant hamilton made his own political party. our constitution was designed to work with an assumption that we would have only 1 party
