Also he signed a bill making criticism of Israel illegal in the classroom (made it a hate crime), stuck SWAT teams on pro-Palestinian protestors at universities, also he sent out California Highway Patrol during those exact protests you mentioned who also arrested peaceful protestors He says he supports peaceful protest, his actions suggest otherwise

I think #3 is actually showing a deeper understanding than you are, sorry kid. Gavin Newsom is better than JD Vance and Ill vote blue even if it comes to that, but you should be clear eyed about just how bad Newsom is. It isn’t even about neoliberalism, Newsom isn’t even liberal. He is right wing with some cutthroat instincts, and happens to be a Democrat. Even Kamala Harris would be better than him. Its a sad sad state of affairs that EVEN STILL, Gavin Newsom is preferable to the other side.

Is it bad that I kinda like Thomas Massie? I wouldn’t say he represents anything close to my ideology, but he strikes me as a legitimate human… a very flawed and doltish human to be sure, but still. I don’t think he is doing what he is doing for lobbyist money or as a grift, and it seems like 95% of people in government fit into one or the other.
