I think it’s not that people don’t agree, it’s more that people think that people use it to librally when describing people.

Like, a lot of WW2 vets and people from that time were racist in some sort of way but still didn’t believe that there should be ethnic cleansing. Antisemitism was pretty common at the time but I doubt the people who went into war thought that those they were prejudice to deserve to be slaughtered on mass

I think we should try to apply the term Nazi to those who want to remove an entire groups of ppl off the planet and support the mustache man. There are terms like bigot, racist etc we can still use without needing to call those who can still change.
