A dem victory in the midterms might just be the worst case scenario that nobody wants to think about. The executive will triple down on its illegal actions, there will be even more incidents like the one from today, it will not get better like we hope.

Nobody wants to address the hard truths. A democratic legislature will not stop an administration that believes in the unitary executive theory

a resistant legislature has more of a fighting chance than a collaborator legislature. if we’re going down either way we should at least angle for the best chance of recovery. that said dems haven’t given me much hope they won’t be collaborators

like I see what you’re saying, but the problem is if the GOP retains the legislature these issues will just be further entrenched. It’s not gonna blow over, it will become our new norm
