Yes, this makes sense. Those that don’t need financial support from the government have a form of survivorship bias and thus think no one does and that handouts are bad.

my older brother went to college listening to 50 cent and Odd Future and left undergrad going into law school listening to Johnny Cash and country music only. now he’s an attorney and has been forcibly snapped back to center bc the rule of law is dead... he can’t even talk politics anymore when that’s all he wanted to talk about before 2022…
