Honestly, this whole Trump era has made me realize how unfathomably stupid, desperate, and easily duped the average American is. At first I thought everyone was blatantly evil, but no, it's just an unending abyss of stupidity.

I think it’s actually a mix. There are many people who are still very racist, homophobic, cares about nobody but themselves and feel validated by trump but I agree I’ve also realized some are just GENUINELY stupid or egos are too big they won’t admit when they’re wrong

It'd be kinda adorable/sweet if it wasn't so fucking horrible. Like 'Awww Jimmy, I take my eyes off you for one second and you gave all your money to the shady man in the trenchcoat who then dragged you into the alley and beat you to a pulp and you're somehow thanking him bc he promised to grant you eternal life as he was running away with all your possessions' Like we're legit SURROUNDED by adults with the mental capacity of toddlers Idk how to fully process this

This was the first election that made me genuinely resent sharing a democracy with other Americans. Everything that’s happened was just so predictable, and voters fell for all of it

Yeah and I'm pretty sure that most racism/sexism/bigotry/etc is due to that same unfathomable stupidity. Primitive brains with very very terminally low IQs. Primitive tribalism due to stupidity and baseless fear due to stupidity.

I really thought they knew. I really thought they were really just THAT hateful, they wanted to live in a hellscape dystopia of white supremacy and Christian Nationalism. It really broke my brain, coming to terms with the fact that they actually just got duped. Bc to me, only a clinically r*tarded person could ever possibly...... Which then sends one down the rabbit hole of how this mass terminal stupidity of Americans was carefully cultivated. USA society breeds it
