Australia social media ban is a good idea in concept, but they’re kinda a nanny state so they probably found a way to mess it up. Also they forgot to ban groomer central (discord) and groomer HQ (Roblox)

I have mixed feelings on the social media bans. On the one hand stuff like TikTok and Instagram and Snapchat is horrible for kids and for their self esteem. On the other hand discord was pretty important for me as a kid in finding people with likeminded interests and in figuring out like… all the important stuff they didn’t tell me in catholic school

I’d say this is good for Australia to get kids playing outside. But this is Australia. They got drop bears and dingos.

In all seriousness, Australia will be an example to watch in seeing how stifling kids’ access to social media can work for better child development. The kids are probably better off interacting face to face. The actual implementation will make some guidelines if it gets carried over to other countries.

Yea no I like discord too I think I was like 15 when I got my account but yeah was pretty cool. And I was on there before the groomer epidemic got too bad, it was just games

Well, it was probably pretty bad, but I mean there weren’t bots advertising CP in my servers when I first started
