Terrorists have been making execution videos for years, dipshit. How does this make them think twice? People who do mass shootings typically expect to die in the shooting you fucking idiot.
Don’t want your death live streamed on national television? Then don’t murder 13 people and injury 32 others. I’m so happy trump is doing this bc it will make terrorists thank twice

Same type of nonsense people will say about how castrating or hanging pedophiles will somehow reduce the amount of abuse that happens. Makes no sense

Why do people think this will deter terrorism lmao dying is literally the goal?

Explain exactly in detail within that statement where it’s defending terrorism. Give me the exact words.

You’re not exactly condemning his actions or supporting his punishment in your comment

I’d rather society’s general consensus be that pedophiles should face castration and hanging as punishment. I’m sure the fear of severe consequences and social condemnation has deterred many from acting on their urges and prevented their sick predilections from becoming reality. You think it doesn’t work but it does

This is the whole point of the post man, people who are mentally unwell enough to commit these types of crimes aren’t sitting down to make a T chart to compare the benefits and drawbacks of their crimes before they commit them. If you honestly think these policies reduce instances of abuse then please send something to back up the claim

Call it performative if you want man. But I’m in the Army myself and seeing that happen to other servicemen especially by one of their own is sickening. I don’t speak for the Military but I do believe a large amount of soldiers want to see it too

None of you were in service when it happened. It happened in 2009. The only ones still in service that would have been around during that time would be mid-high ranking officers. So yes, I WILL call it performative because it is.

Not how rank structure or promotions in the military work btw but that’s a separate issue. Doesn’t really matter if I was around for it or not it’s still a disgusting thing to happen, my friends in different branches feel the same way about it

It kind of matters. It’s irrational, especially given the fact that it’s being streamed to the public. I couldn’t care less if the man is killed, I just have enough of my senses to know that live-streaming an execution is an abhorrent act that serves zero purpose.
