It’s not employees fault that everyone is “nomads” now. It’s crappy benefits, no training, and no retirement / pension. There’s no incentive for loyalty. And to get a raise you need to get a new job

There’s that and the fact that it’s (apparently) significantly easier to just negotiate for a higher salary at your new job instead of trying to get a raise at your current one

At least in tech. Not entirely sure what you mean by “now”. Since maybe 2018/2019 I noticed most people in tech on LinkedIn don’t stay at the same company for more than 5 years, but I’m not sure if that’s because interest rates were low and everyone was hiring like crazy

Still is relevant, since bosses don’t give big raises But yeah negotiating salary on your very first job out of college is tuff af
