I’m from Williamsburg! Locally the 69th and 71st districts flipped.

Cool! I know that Anderson came close in ‘23, glad she won this time. My local districts in Lynchburg will be deep-red for the foreseeable future 😅 but glad VA as a whole’s making progress

Anderson winning was cool but what really surprised me was Downey winning his district. I know him personally (nice guy) and he’s been running for a few years and hasn’t gotten very close. But he won this time and I was over the moon

That’s great, glad he finally won! What really surprised me was Orrock losing in Fredericksburg…he’s been in the seat for 30 years

Seats like what Downey flipped strike me as the suburban moderate seats that’ll vote GOP down-ballot. It’s pretty big for these kinds of seats to flip
