That is the case, and there are procedures that don’t involve senators trying to make themselves feel manly and breaking people’s hands

i agree the senator shouldn’t have gotten involved. but he was a former navy SEAL and he saw the capitol police struggling and jumped in. i don’t think it was about feeling manly, he probably did it on instinct

He didn’t do anything, he just wanted to feel strong. Watch the video, he’s not helping Capitol police at all, most of the time he’s just on the outside pushing and shoving wherever he can.
