We are openly threatening Greenland and Columbia, and the leader of our country has said “we run Venezuela, and are going to pick a new leader that we like”.

Obama threatened the UK with economic consequences if they left the EU. He threatened Pakistan with military “consequences” if they didn’t cooperate with US military after Bin Laden. He threatened to withhold US protections to NATO if they didn’t keep their end. Privileges of being the most powerful country in the world is using it for leverage. Happens all the time. Just because we’re allies doesn’t mean we roll over
