I have a horrible feeling the next ticket is gonna be Newsom vs Vance and if that happens I will be krilling myselffair, but my point is he didn’t need it though — he won with more than half the vote like almost immediately because he actually connected with people and issues on a human level instead of talking at them from an ivory tower (something both parties are equally guilty of and part of the reason why I love progressive candidates)
so they could absolutely win even without the endorsement of mainstreamers like Clinton, Schumer, Jeffries etc. esp if they have the support of the broader progressive movement — I’m from DC and people here were literally like begging Zohran to run for DC mayor as well, he had a huge support base nationwide not just in NYC
that assumes democrats and the media for that matter knows what a leftist is, i mean they’re trying to paint crockett as a progressive which is ridiculous, they painted kamala as a progressive when she was at best a centrist who tried to outflank trump on immigration. i’d like to think the voters know better but at the end of the day we’ve seen it happen before, the democratic party will refuse to listen to the voters, shit on leftists and prop up some centrist candidate
zohran didnt get endorsed by someone with these numbers? the democratic party as a whole is nearly identical, which makes sense since schumer is the leader! hilariously the democratic party approval rating has gone up largely since zohran and other progressive figures became big names. if it goes to a vote and not a dnc rigjob (cough 2016) then very likely it goes progressive
i ask you how two workers are performing. one is a disappointment, and the other is in another department shitting on the floor. how you rate the former isnt so significantly impacted by the shit on the floor while youre seeing your business go under. both are fuckups. but the first guy suddenly showing up on time and reading what hes supposed to do might have an impact on how you perceive him
