How do you people even operate in your daily life? đ Youâve got to be miserable.the funny thing too is that people in power have been doing Epstein-like shit from the beginning, itâs the power, society will always have powerful people, humans are selfish animals and there will always be individuals who abuse that power for their own gain, this isnât saying itâs okay, but rather Iâm saying itâs tragically human and a predictable aspect of our culturr
until we see egalitarian societies beyond indigenous hunter-gatherer societies, it seems unrealistic we live in a large-scale, technologically advanced global society that relies on complex divisions of labor, we have never seen a socialist/communist revolution in an industrialized society and past attempts just led to a reshuffling of the ruling class rather than elimination until proven otherwise, it seems as if hierarchy is inevitable in large-scale societies
Also weâve seen over the last century that as we produce more, we donât necessarily work less or share more, the bars for ânecessitiesâ just change, 100 years ago electricity was a luxury, now itâs a necessity, with continuing technological advances it seems as if there will always be some important commodity that is scarce in nature The idea that revolution is inevitable is purely theoretical and is based on the narrative that progress is linear and there is a clear end-goal to progress
