Not that this makes it better but I did at least see multiple states are already filing law suits

Hi I am a trans woman and a blue voter, but the memo was not about trans people. It was about enforcing NSPM 7 “In general terms, domestic terrorism is criminal conduct that occurs primarily inside the territory of the United States and that involves acts dangerous to human life that appear to be intended to intimidate a civilian population; influence the policy of government by intimidation or coercion; or affect the conduct of government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping.”

The memo uses concerning rhetoric, yes. The memo does not call for the FBI to place cash bounties on trans activists, no.

So if you actually read which it seems like your incapable of, as long as your only voicing your opinion which IS PROTECTED UNDER THE FIRST AMENDMENT and not committing crimes or domestic terrorism you’re fine so just dont commit a crime 👀

Aaaaaand this is why media literacy is important. It calls for cash rewards for information leading to the identification and capture of people who support “radical gender ideology,” … you know the exact phrase they’ve been using to describe trans activists

That is incorrect. It calls to focus on cases involving "radical gender ideology" amongst others (WHICH IS CRAZY YES, IM NOT TALKING ABOUT MY OPINIONS HERE) specifically under domestic terrorism implications, with a laundry list of existing federal domestic terrorism charges applicable. Specifically noted is that any action protected under the first amendment is irrelevant, and the main focus is violent anti-fascist organizations.

The rhetoric is concerning 100%, but the FBI isn't gonna come get you in two months because you advocated for trans rights (an activity protected under the first amendment). However, if you're in an organized domestic terrorism organization (of which the definition is outlined in law and not being changed) or a freelance domestic terrorist that also advocates for trans rights (e.g. organizing political violence for that purpose (or any purpose)), I would be concerned.

“It’s not being changed” yet they declared “antifa” a terrorist organization. They think and act like they’re above the law come on now

Who claimed "antifa" a terrorist organization? Would need more info to input. I agree they think and act that way, I'm just skeptical about real world implications of trumps looney squad, and the news article posted is just blatant misinformation caused to fear monger transgender people like myself, and I don't think that accomplishes any good.

And it's not being changed. If there is an organization that goes by "antifa" and it committed acts that fell under the laws that classify domestic terrorism, that is a constitutional act, and those individuals in the organization would be subject to persecution under the full extent of the law with or without pam bondi's memo (which I read in full). Again, would need more info, source, etc. to input.

It’s about targeting left wing domestic terror where they label “radical gender ideology” as one of many characteristics of antifa-aligned extremists with the focus being on violations of federal law being prosecuted. Do not engage in federal crimes especially ones associated with domestic terrorism

So what I’m gathering from what you just wrote, correct me if I’m wrong, is that it’s possible for them to say that somebody is “intimidating a civilian population” with “radical gender ideology” (which in my experience, most right wing individuals would attach that to trans people just existing) and call it domestic terrorism? I’d say that’s pretty fucking bad, and opens the door for some real authoritarian shit

The FBI. There’s this whole ongoing thing with tons of public videos available

That’s the thing is the FBI themselves didn’t even bother coming up with an “organization structure” or “headquarters or base” location before doing this. Please. Please Google before you form an opinion

The designation of domestic terrorism requires a separate federal crime be committed (ex. homicide, battery) a domestic terrorism charges much like a rico charges can only be applied in addition to some other specific federal crimes.

CORRECTION: I was mistaken, domestic terrorism isn’t even a charge it is an enhancement to a crime.
