Also I’m being a pedant here. But you probably mean Mandarin. There are several languages under the umbrella term of Chinese. Wu, Cantonese, Min, Hakka. Mandarin is the dominant language of administration and business.

Cantonese and the other languages are regional languages in China and also classified as separate. The reference of “Chinese” already implies mandarin especially internationally
