Things are a lot worse now than last year as the current government keeps shifting further and further into hardcore nationalism and takes fundamentally unamerican stances like rabid anti immigration while refusing refuses to acknowledge blatant corruption and degeneracy within their party sometimes even accepting it. Some positions liberals have shifted more left on too like how universal healthcare was a fringe Bernie policy back in the day but is now mainstream.

Fym old it’s March 2025 😭 that’s not even the point and I could go on (Noem can’t define habeas corpus, Homan caught taking bribes, Trump pardoning fraudsters, complete lack of understanding over Greenland, corruption with Palantir, Bondi extorting Minnesota for Medicare and voting data) but the point is that all conservatives do here is post mid rage bait and AI stuff instead of explaining in detail what they believe in

genuinely, when you scroll on this page, keeping in mind a popular poll I saw on here a bit ago that had THREE (republicans) to NINETY SOMETHING (liberals)…and everything I post immediately gets downvoted even when I’m sharing genuine information, thoughts, opinions (as a senior political science major) do you think I’m heard? or do you join into the pack of people that downvote me asap?

but more to your original point- my bad it really does get frustrating- yes I know our president is unconventional. He makes outrageous statements and pulls them back into decent deals, that honestly, other presidents have executed flawlessly without so much backlash, but he’s getting it done regardless and deep down we both know Kamala was not going to be the one to do so

before you come for me about ice, I am also a human being (yes we exist on the other side of the spectrum, closer than you think) and while I don’t believe anyone should be killed for over the top (to put it nicely) protesting, I don’t think throwing yourself into the “facism” that the left fears so badly is the answer. ICE agents should have more training to handle not only these situations, but their own emotions, and SO much more I can’t type here.

Another hypothetical loss for Kamala is not rigorous enough for me to support Epstein’s best friend and I don’t really know how anyone does it (wasn’t even going to mention ICE because the US always had state endorsed violence)
