Because he’s right, most of us don’t choose our own names, if my parents had been like “yeah make his name Adolf Hitler <Lastname>” I’d kinda just be fucked by the time I learned how bad that was

he says he doesn’t think his dad totally knew what Hitler was up to which is so hard to believe from a western perspective but is a good reminder that even major atrocities might not be well known globally
