And what about older female children of divorce that changed their last name. Changing your name costs a lot and takes a long time

And if her last name isn't the same as it is on her birth certificate she can't vote. It's friggin ludicrous

It’s beaurocratic bs for getting the passport, same with Real ID. She needs to: pay to get a copy of her marriage license from the county she was married in to prove that her surname changed, pay to change the birth certificate, get a copy of said birth certificate, get multiple documents that show her full SSN, and multiple documents that are proof that she lives where she says.

Not to mention older ppl (disproportionately black) who were born with a midwife have two dates of birth, ppl born before the 50s (again disproportionately black) possibly not having an SSN, and so much more. And ~51% of the US not having a passport (and the need to spend $180 for the passport book alone or $30 for the card)
