Probably because taken as a whole, Americans have it very good. It’s not worth starting over to fix the problems that we do have.

You don’t have to “start over” to revolt, Things like woman’s suffrage movement, march on Washington, stonewall riots were actually fairly successful at shaping US law

i’d bet money that the person saying “we” have it very good is a straight white person, and what they really mean is THEY have it very good, as millions of americans do not.
