bold of you to assume the U.S. Gov ever gave a shit about disabled people until they literally dragged themselves up the steps of congress. it was called the Capitol Crawl. find a video of it and you’ll see a small girl, barely ten years old, dragging herself up those stairs and yelling as she strains her upper body, “I WILL TAKE ALL NIGHT IF I HAVE TO…” and that shit makes me cry every time. There are still people in this country who thinks ADA isn’t needed and it’s an inconvenience.
