I mean looks alone don’t rlly show that. The last truly wild horse species(the Mongolian wild horse) also has that same general build and upright mane. When I show ppl Mongolian Wild Horses the first thing they mention is how they look like donkeys. When genus Equus appeared horses split off from the ancestor that led to donkeys and zebras a few thousand years prior.
