I’m all for redistributing wealth but billionaires aren’t the problem. It’s fine if they exist.

Probably the overall system. Idk why every issues needs a specific group we all have to blame.

What group of people bear the greatest responsibility for maintaining the system instead of improving or replacing it?

Probably a few groups including the average American. For example most American house holds own their own home. That would probably explain why no politician would ever lower housing prices bc then they wouldn’t get reelected. It just depends on what issue we’re talking about.

Most Americans are pretty happy under the current system. The U.S. has pretty high standard of living and our government is designed for slow changes.

because the system is literally run by and for billionaires? they rule this country (and the entire world). Liberal democracy is essentially a masked form of oligarchy.

I’m sure that’s a super emotionally satisfying narrative but it’s just not true. Billionaires have a lot of power in our society but generally popular will wins out. What billionaire was for the the aca banning the denying of coverage due to pre-existing conditions? Or which billionaire was for Biden closing down the key stone pipeline?

Why is it incorrect? I get everyone feels this way.

Or we go even further countries with the lowest wealth gaps in Europe still have billionaires are they still pulling all of the strings all of those liberal democracies as well?
