Not all vegans but a significant enough amount are just as bad as Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons when it comes to how they treat meat eaters. You’re not gonna convince people to change their habits by saying they’re an animal abuser for eating nuggets

I love when vegans go after me for hunting. It’s far and away the most ethical meat in the world and you’re treating it worse than McDonald’s because someone you know had a hand in it

I do think the number of vegans like this are very overblown by reactionaries tbh. Like I’m sure it’s a thing in vegan circles but that’s already extremely niche

This is a hard comparison to accept for me bc vegans/vegetarians are concerned with real life observable moral failings in our food system as opposed to Mormons/JW who are concerned with theoretical religious moral failings that don’t have much impact outside of their religion. But that being said yeah I’d agree that both can sometimes employ poor strategy to get their points across; honest attempts at conversation are almost always better than outright shaming

also I really didn’t expect you would post something like this. I wasn’t familiar with your game I guess.

Yes this dynamic always cracks me up. I get that some vegans are like no meat absolutists but some guy shooting a deer is far and above more ethical than eating anything that came out of a factory farm

It’s not a literal comparison it’s a hyperbole that is meant to remarking on what is essentially their proselytizing and shaming

Would you put people who shame others for supporting Israeli businesses in that camp too then?

It’s not just about vegans that are bleeding heart types that are PETA members or something. This includes people that privately hold these thoughts too. They can ofc think what they want to but I have reservations

Cause religious shaming and proselytizing I have little patience for; however shaming people for enabling terrible things to happen in the real world is sometimes valid

Fair enough. If have a sec to weigh the question I’d love to know if you find it comparable or both
