Outside of Gaza/not stepping out the race, I think history will be pretty kind to Biden

Bro should have kept his original promise to be a one term president

Why would I apologize to Genocide Joe? He’s def better than Trump but he’s still a ghoul

“Genocide” Joe?

he helped Israel commit genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza

He didn’t though, but ok. You can definitely say he was too weak to stop them, but he didn’t help.

the U.S. President is not too weak to stop Israel…

It’s well understood that Biden was weak.

I think the ‘weakness vs strength’ dynamic has been perverted a lot lately. Bombing tf out of people without reason isn’t the same thing as strength nor are attempts at bipartisan cooperation the same as weakness. That being said the genocide in Gaza couldn’t happen without his blessing, he does have lots of blood on his hands

I think you’re giving Netanyahu and Israel power over Biden that they didn’t have

Well, right, what do you want him to do with the might of the United States? That would probably set off a global war. That’s what we’re seeing with Trump’s recklessness right now. But Biden never gave his blessing, and I’m not sure where people act like he wanted it to happen. He pretty explicitly said he hated Netanyahu, he was just to weak at that point to get Congress to do anything.

I’m not talking about Netanyahu having power over Biden, I’m talking about Biden being too weak to get meaningful movement in Congress.

The Biden administration itself authorized continuous, massive arms transfers of 2,000+ pound bombs despite the evidence of mass civilian casualties. Also, the U.S. regularly vetoed calls for a ceasefire at the UN, which Biden could have gotten the American representative to vote differently on. It actually led to many resignations amongst people in the Biden administration.

They specifically halted most of the 2000 lb bombs actually

They specifically held up the bombs, and Trump reversed that almost immediately. Most of the weapons they send over are earmarked for defense, and Biden was noted as being very mad that they were abusing that, and again, couldn’t get momentum here for meaningful change.

Yes I’m sorry, that is true, they did halt the 2,000-pound bombs in May 2024, those weren’t continued until the Trump administration, but 500-pound bombs were continued in July 2024 along with other unmentioned billion $ arms transfers Imo holding one shipment while continuing hundreds of others is more symbolic than an actual exertion of any meaningful pressure

Again, these are earmarked for defense, and Biden was known to be very angry about that abuse, but couldn’t get Congress moving.

Are you familiar with Arms Control Export Act? It allows the President to stop weapon deliveries if he/she finds they are being used for “unauthorized purposes” or in ways that violate international law. If Biden was so angry, why didn’t he do this?

Also, Biden literally bypassed Congress to SEND Israel tank ammunition and artillery shells in December 2023 without the typical 30-day review period by Congress. He bypassed Congress to SPEED UP deliveries, not slow them down.

^exactly. There’s just no way you put any other random person in the White House who is bothered by what’s happening Gaza and they’d act like he did. “Israel has a right to defend themselves” as they’re using ai algorithms to identify apartment blocks full of civilians to bomb? When you’re the president of the United States inaction like that is your blessing

blaming Congress like the president has no power over weapons shipments when the president both has the power to stop shipments and bypassed Congress to ship weapons faster is willful ignorance

Yeah 100%. I even think Biden usually gets more shit than he deserves but this part of his presidency is unforgivable. It’s because of this that I fully understand the uncommitted folks out of Michigan with ties to Gaza who withheld their vote or voted for trump in 2024, how could you trust the Biden/kamala ticket after that?

Idk man if I had family in Gaza getting executed by Israel on a near daily basis while the president provided the weapons I would never find it in myself to vote for that admin. And if you can’t vote for that admin and you want to vote for someone who could actually become elected then you vote trump. I think that’s forgivable

Surely people in Gaza don’t expect anything good from the man who lifted sanctions on West Bank settlers and emboldened them while recognizing Jerusalem as the capital
