Why are you scared of being a minority? I thought minorities had it great with all the DEI and everything. Is this perhaps implying that minorities are treated badly in America, the thing you guys constantly deny?
I wish white ppl had this same energy/reaction to the fact that we’re gonna be a minority in our own countries by the 2040s

“In our own countries” is kinda answering your question. If India suddenly became minority Indian, the native population would be right to say “hold up”

Indian isn’t an ethnicity. What does it mean to be Indian? This person has very specific ideas of what it means to belong in a country and it is based on white supremacy. I think Hindu supremacists who fearmongering about Muslim people existing also suck.

Indian can function as a national identity, but it is also used as a broad racial or ethic category just like White is. Nations have identities and cultures and those cultures need to compete to survive against other cultures. That’s how it has always and will always work.

We are not bacterial sell colonies. We do not need to kill each other’s colony. And this post is about ethnic identity. It’s terrified of non-white people, who are just as American as you or I. It is saying that people of a different ethnicity do not deserve to live in these countries based purely on their ethnicity, even if they were born in that country.

Cultures absolutely are essentially living organisms that spread cross the globe. That’s actually the exact model that’s used in the study of cultural spread.

Someone having a different culture is not a threat to me. When I go to a powwow, I am not threatened by the continued existence of Native American cultural identity. When I get Mexican or Chinese or Thai cuisine I am not threatened by greater food diversity. When I listen to music in French or Irish or Spanish or Hawaiian I am not harmed.
