Did we not learn our lesson in Afghanistan during the 80s? Arming the Kurds and telling them to fight the Iranians is just going to put us in the exact same position as when we armed the Mujahideen

Weren’t the Kurds reliable allies in Syria? I thought the biggest problem with them was that we keep screwing them over and any support for Kurds makes Turkey mad

The Mujahideen were considered reliable allies against the Soviets, then they evolved into Al-Qaeda and turned against us. There’s not a single guarantee the Kurds won’t do the same thing, especially considering how many times we’ve abandoned them when they needed us most
