Nah people like this aren’t the reason. Manosphere online stuff is just recruiting men to the right across the board. It’s made inroads into the black and Latino population, but it’s still a mostly white male thing.

Like don’t get me wrong this person seems extremely wrong. The reality is that white privilege and male privilege both exist, and both are more consequential in different circumstances. It’s not suitable to deny either. What makes this person horribly wrong is that they minimize the impact of white privilege.

No, actually, the rising illiteracy rates are why. The black community has been hit especially hard by this.

POC and other marginalized group of mens’ problems have been ignored for a long time on account of them being. Let’s not forget, it’s not black and brown people who are incarcerated at higher rates, who face documented racism in policing in the judicial system, who have the highest rates of academic failure. It is specifically black and brown MEN. The MEN part has been completely forgotten. It’s no surprise that, especially if uneducated (again, a societal failure), they turn to the manosphere.

We literally outlawed talking about marginalized mens’ problems in the left. Also, saying this as a POC man, let’s not pretend that manosphere traits like homophobia and misogyny are any less present in POC communities like you claim. As a proportion, they are likely more present due to the socially conservative nature of POC groups.
