Democrats pushed a bill to force the release of the files, nearly every Republican voted against it, nearly every Democrat voted for it.. also it’s kind of irrelevant saying democrats could release it when republicans have all the power right now.

Which there are a few arguments against and for it, republicans largely favored the genius act and them blocking this addition could be because they didn’t favor that addition, although the guise that they stated was that it was irrelevant to the genius act
