You're in the right. My mom is homeless and I don't think she's a particularly bad person, just lacks a lot of critical skills that she was never taught growing up. I was adopted at 3. Since then she lost her house, her job, her car, and her boyfriend got her a domestic assault charge falsely.

My grandfather who treated her poorly passed away thankfully. She's still homeless ofc but she's in a super abusive relationship now and can't find her way out. She's got the abuse is love mentality rn. I kinda gave up hope for her because we ripped all her social programs away.
