The 'It's worse elsewhere' argument is so bad. It's like 'You got stabbed 12 times? Boohoo, you're so freaking privileged you have it so good. My friend knows a guy that got all of his limbs cut off. You're lucky to have your limbs. Be grateful.'
This is an attempt to get you to reconsider the prioritization of which tragedy or problem to fix first

that being said, mindfulness is an incredibly important and powerful tool of humanity and empathy. it’s nice to be consciously thankful for having all of your fingers sometimes, let alone full function of those fingers.
