That definitely indicates there is more to the story than simple ownership of firearms. I don’t understand people that will blame the most proximal cause of a problem rather than look for the root of it

More guns = more gun deaths. More powerful guns = easier to kill a bunch of people at once. Like that’s just blatantly obvious why are you acting like it’s some paradox?

Sure but a mentally healthy person doesn’t shoot people. Millions of people own big powerful guns with lots of rounds of ammo and never kill people. Plus the vast majority of gun deaths are smaller handguns

Sure but it’s a uniquely American problem because all other world powers had one mass shooting and their officials went “hey let’s make sure that can’t happen again” Mental health problems are not unique to America

If only there was some difference in the firearm technology available to civilians from 1776 to 1990 that would explain why there weren’t mass shootings back then 🤨

Yeah so it’s still technology, it’s just widely used technology lol. And it’s the auto-loading of it. If you have to take a break in between shots to reload, you will automatically (no pun intended) shoot slower

Like yeah, there’s no one perfect solution, but that doesn’t mean we just act as thought there’s nothing we can do to stop the murder of schoolchildren
