Yeah, he does. He doesn’t support this war at all. But he’s not going to put his and his wife’s livelihoods in jeopardy by risking a court martial. People join the forces for many reasons: family heritage, patriotism, simply being the only real career option for some. He’s not one of the people who joined to actively fight, but to support the nation. It’s why he’s not a soldier.
