
Why do we need to fund a ballroom though in order for security to be upgraded? We don’t have to build new schools for an upgrade in security. If anything there should be new laws funding the security of hotels like laws funding the security of schools. Why not give everyone access to proper protection from shooters? It would create jobs too with hiring more security in places.
It’s not “needed,” but it’s a proposal that also makes sense. The comparison to schools only works if schools were having their classes at an off-site hotel that’s open to the public. Why worry about securing a hotel that’s open to the public when you can host your own events in a secure location? Plus the added justification of adding military infrastructure underneath.
