Democrats are “not racist” until a minority has a conservative opinion. Literally, as a black conservative, the only racism I’ve ever experienced was from liberals.

There is truth to this, but I disagree. People tend to get the most hateful when there is conflict or they think they can get away with it/it’s okay. It’s why sexism/racism/transphobia/ableism/ageism whatever can hide in a group. So I feel like there is a lot of left leaning individuals that might hold racist ideas but like… a lot of conservatives say racist shit all the time. In fact it’s kinda why I just cut someone out of my life.

As a brown dude I’ve experienced more racism from liberals, then again I live in a predominantly liberal area. Had a white guy recently tell me I was an idiot for thinking John Stuart Mill and his harm principle were rooted in racist imperialism despite him never having read Mill’s On Liberty, and when confronted with direct quotes from the source highlighting mill’s stated selective bias in application of the harm principle and his history directing east India company policy, was told I still

Didn’t know what I was talking abt even though I knew the exact pg to bring up bc I’ve read all of mill’s major works. Turns out the guy has never read mill & still wanted to “explain” things to my ignorant self. Ik for a fact the guy is racist bc I’m white passing & he was chill w me before someone said my very ethnic name & he asked where my family was from. After I told him he automatically just started acting like he was my superior for some reason. Rly weird ppl out there
