Hopefully this will be a temporary thing because if this sets a precedent to get rid of gas taxes, we will have toll roads galore

Me in the year 2030 as all of our roads are just dirt gravel roads because there’s no tax funding to make more of them

At least that would be better than toll roads. Maybe both outcomes would make people lighten up to rail

Although true, we also need roads to bike on

The good news is people are actually doing something about that. My city is working hard to make things more pedestrian friendly and I’m seeing more and more protected bike lanes every year. The greenway systems are getting better too and pretty soon, it will be safe to bike to other counties! The only problem is finding the free time to enjoy them!

Hell yeah. What city is it? Not mine. Anyways AFAIK, there are 0 toll bike paths in the world. Bikes are prohibited on toll roads due to danger.

This is just Raleigh, but most of the surrounding cities have great greenways too!
