“But Charlie Kirk’s kids are going to grow up without a father” As someone who has an absent dad, they will be fine. Their mother is literally rich. They’ll be okay.

They’re gonna grow up without a father who would force them to carry a rapist’s baby at age 10*

I mean yeah they’ll survive but I don’t think it’s right to brush off losing a parent as trivial, even if that parent stood for some pretty terrible things

Oh type shi I’m gonna go kill my neighbor real quick then since his kids will obviously be fine and the wife has a Benz so clearly everything will work out. Might as well kill the dog while I’m over there too!

Well I mean yes they’ll likely survive but losing a parent is absolutely not trivial. Just because a tragedy affected you a certain way doesn’t mean that it’ll affect other people the same way. Just saying we shouldn’t downplay this to such an extreme extent

They are one and three years old. Anyone who lost their parent at the age will tell you that it did not mean shit to them. Maybe expand the people that you fucking talk to?

What’s with the attitude? I know plenty of people with one parent which is why I’m trying to say that that sorta thing affects people differently; I’m not claiming that your experience is wrong or anything.

Not having a biological father can negatively alter SOME peoples lives in significant ways, even if they never really knew the father.

I mean you’re telling me to “expand the people that you fucking taking to” yet acting like children of single parents are a monolith. Do you mean to tell me that you’ve never spoken to a child of a single parent who says that not having a father/mother severely impacted them?

oh, so the attitude is because I said “fucking” 😭 right. And no, the people I surround myself with a strong minded individuals… so they genuinely don’t give a fuck because it’s really not that important. Especially the ones who lost their father at a younger age. Those girls be fine, accept that.

Yeah I still don’t see how you’re really arguing that knowing a few people makes you equipped to speak for all people who have lost parents. To each their own tho ig

You don't know how many ppl I know who have absent or dead fathers bud.

You could know a whole bunch but it’s impossible for you to meet enough of them to accurately generalize the entire population. I know a lot of people who struggle with depression but you won’t see me acting like that qualifies me to speak on behalf of all depressed people

Well difference is that Im actually a part of the demographic, I studied family sciences in undergrad, I'm not saying all - just them (reading is crucial), AND I know plenty of ppl also in said demographic (of varying ages, experiences, unique circumstances, etc)

If you studied family sciences in undergrad then you should understand that being raised in a single parent household affects people differently. No amount of undergraduate study or people you know without a parent can equip you to say with certainty that Charlie Kirk’s children will be unphased by the murder of their father, which is the point I take issue with.

I literally never said that it would affect everyone the same. Like I said in my previous message, reading is crucial. The whole reason why his children won’t have it hard is for one that woman is going to remarry, you’re literally a dumbass if you think otherwise. Two, they have money and resources (to get therapy) where other families don’t. She’s literally a fucking CEO. Three, they aren't going to remember him at all. They're 1 and 3. Stop being ignorant.

Cool mental gymnastics!! Somehow ‘they’ll be fine’ = ‘kill the neighbor and the dog.’ 0/10 on logic, 100/10 on dramatic flair!
