71-88k for 2 years experience? This must be a red state
Had an interview for mech eng job (I have 2 years experience) 71-88k salry range. Guy sends me over an assignment to finish for the chance to make it to the next round…might take me hours bc I need to get cad software and learn it… would yall do it?

Yep. Illinois, cost of living is fucked, and the huge salary range of 71-88 makes me think they gonna lowball…another reason I’m hesitant to even do the assignment…haven’t even gotten an in person interview yet.
