Britain did give up a “Delaware-sized parcel” that other people fuckin lived in already and that’s what started this whole mess

They didn’t actually! So they used to have more land, but illegal settlements have pushed back through the borders established by the British in an area they never should have been involved in, for something that Germany should have been carved up for

This isn’t making the point you think it’s making… how does this justify modern day Israel’s existence past “oh look ANOTHER occupying force in an area that used to be pretty peaceful”

I’m referring to the “Delaware sized parcel” as being the land set aside as Israeli in 1947, not the land that was supposed to be Palestinian until Israel’s expansion.

Dawg do you hear yourself rn? By your own logic that land doesn’t even belong to the Jews it belongs to whoever came before them, and literally wherever you are living right now is land that should be given back to whoever had it 3000 years ago. What’s happening right now to the Palestinians is illegal under international law, which Israel is supposed to be held accountable for

The difference is that under the ottomans and British, the Palestinians were allowed to exist on their land, and in under both local Arabs had influence in local government. Meanwhile, Israel is expelling Palestinians. There’s a difference between being controlled by someone else and being allowed to live in your home, and being expelled.

I see, thanks for the clarification! They also want the land of Palestine because of the massive oil reserves that are right off the coast of Gaza which Israel doesn’t have the right to exploit yet. Also at the very least the Israeli government is full of demonic people who take joy in killing defenseless children and breaking international law

Palestinians are local jews, Samaritans, Canaanites, and Arabs (ex Nabateans) who were Hellenized and then Arabized. They *are* the local Jews who just never left.

Whatever land was controlled by an ethnicity 2,000 years ago has absolutely no relevance in the modern day. I don’t get to go to Ireland and start kicking people out of their houses just because that’s where my ancestors are from. And the Arab families being beaten and expelled by West Bank settlers are not the antagonists here.

“Just give the land back to whoever had it first” is literally YOUR talking point rn. It never should have happened because it displaced millions from their homes in something they had no say over. If that had happened in the past then that’s unfortunate but this was post WW2 where we had established “modern” laws, not back in 1000 BC where Israel was supposedly disbanded by “Arab colonialists”

The Jewish version of respect as seen by countless Israeli citizens is “we will hit you, rape you, evict you from your homes while you are outside, and we expect you to roll over like a dog and do nothing about it”

Nobody has a “right” to the land someone else is from. It’s very common to make religious claims to justify settler colonialism. The Mormons claimed Utah was a promised land so the native Americans didn’t deserve it. And American settlers in the Midwest manufactured theories of ancient mound-building Vikings and Phoenicians that the Native Americans displaced to justify their own colonialism and genocide.

Also you do know the Palestine Jewish Colonization Association was called that for a reason right? It was viewed as settler colonialism back then, it’s just that wasn’t seen as a bad thing in those days. It was openly compared with British settler projects in South Africa and Rhodesia. And I think the fact that the West Bank settlers are CALLED settlers (though in Hebrew it’s more like “sitting down in a place”) indicates what is actually happening here.
