 Also, the irony of centrist libs going “the progressive left is full of rapists” less than a year after Andrew Cuomo got full establishment backing in his NYC mayoral bid is not lost on me. Why can’t we just agree that all sex pests are bad?

All of those people had to be forced to endorse Mamdani and only did so after he won the primary, resisting it for weeks even then. Let’s not act like these establishment politicians didn’t have to be hard pressed into it.

Who “forced” them did Mamdani have gun to their head? I don’t think it’s even a norm for national Democrat leaders to endorse a mayor.

Two of the 3 people listed are New York politicians. It’s pretty normal for a Congressman to weigh in on the city he represent’s mayoral race, and for a governor to weigh in on the mayoral race of the biggest city in the state. Kamala Harris weighed in because it was in the news and she probably wants to curb her reputation as a left-basher since she seems to wanna run for President again (bad idea for her)

The actual reason she endorsed him I’m guessing was just to signal party unity bc everyone wants to leverage him against democrats in one way or another so people want to see the mainstream response. No one gaf about Kamala left bashing beyond people on here.

Keep in mind the OP said full establishment backing Cuomo and obviously this is not the case. Anyone worth their salt in the party unified behind Mamdani. I guess Mamdani got Michael Bloomberg and Eric Adams but I wouldn’t consider either of those particularly relevant or representative of establishment dems.
