In my opinion (even in the best case), trying to pass ai art as your own work is like using a motorcycle in a marathon. Sure, you got past the finish line, and you did it faster than everyone else. But don’t be surprised when nobody’s fucking impressed.What saddens me are the people who, in this example, ‘aren’t trying to race’, they just wanna get from a to b. Like my neighbor started a junk collection business and all his branding is ai generated, like his lawn signs and truck decal. I’m almost positive his reasoning is that he’s not trying to create real “art”, that he needs branding, and that this was cheaper than hiring an artist, which is true. Just sad that that type of use case is gonna become more and more common
