Every single problem. The Jim Crow South literally inspired the Nazis. They should’ve been under occupation for decades longer.

The states should have been shattered and redrawn. The generals, president, lawmakers of the confederacy tried and sentenced for treason and slavery. The property and wealth of slave owners should have been confiscated, liquidated, and distributed as reparations to slaves.

Everyone involved in slavery and the confederacy should’ve been executed. It was that simple. We’d be a paradise if they had done that

The president, generals, lawmakers, and governors who ordered secession should have been given the death penalty, along with the most prominent and worst slave holders. The rest should have been jailed and their assets seized and redistributed to slaves and former slaves.
