You personally maybe weren’t shocked, but even the entire media was going “nah he wouldn’t do that” and then he just did it anyways. It’s that kind of “nothing ever happens” attitude that allowed all of this to happen in the first place

Would be pretty stupid but I wouldn’t take some shows of force off the table. The EU would probably just respond with a strongly worded letter lmao. The nuclear option would be the Netherlands threatening to let China have advanced EUV machines. Those export controls on ASML machines are one of the few things holding China’s semiconductors back

I fucking hate Daniel Dale and all those fact checkers for being like “that is false there’s no evidence tying Trump to Project 2025 and no promise that he’ll do XYZ”. The evidence was there, just not crystal clear and written out with Trump’s name on it
