Not even calling out genocide just complaining about the amount of foreign aid we send while complaining about not having money to do important infrastructure and welfare support here

i think the point is why do people care so much more about the money that goes to israel than about the money that goes literally everywhere else? especially when it is a relatively tiny amount of money compared to other things we spend money on? and especially when nearly all of it goes directly back into the pockets of defense contractors where it would probably go anyway? ESPECIALLY now when israel is asking the us to reduce aid and the us is refusing?

from a national security and financial perspective, the US gov’t benefits immensely from this arrangement, arguably more than israel. just like everything else we spend our money on. but why do we constantly discuss this tiny piece of the budget instead of looking at where else our money goes? because that’s the whole point, if we’re obsessed with this we won’t even think to ask where the rest of our money goes

also #3’s comment isn’t racism, its a joking reference to the fact that israel invests very heavily in tech development and one of the major benefits the us gets from this arrangement is immediate access to everything they invent

and before someone says it’s because of the human rights violations, the US supports far more human rights violations than just this one. we recently killed hundreds of thousands of people by ending the USAid program and we’re on track to kill millions more and nobody’s says a thing about that
