it has spread rapidly because the ecocide has destroyed deer habitats (we fragmented forests for farmland and suburbs), and killed off all of their natural predation (because bears and wolves are a threat to livestock), enabling deer populations to boom and spread, which also enables deer tick, and the bacteria responsible for lyme disease to spread
