trump supporters are a different story, however you can vote republican and still agree in equal rights. genuinely if you can’t get over politics (unless it genuinely has to do with equal rights) you shouldn’t be in a relationship period.
I know so many of my “liberal” co workers be dating trump supporters Like yall so fake gtfo

Republicans in general oppose equal rights, not just Trump supporters, imo if you as a left-wing individual can date a conservative with no hesitancy, then you lack integrity

you can be republican and not agree with the big issues (abortion, immigration, dei, etc) a lot of people vote republican because they think the economic policies are better (which they aren’t most of the time)

the issue is republicans that can’t admit when they’re wrong

Yeah, they may support equal rights, but their actions are actively making that reality more difficult though

and leftists don’t? while most of their social policies try to advocate for everyone, a lot of the time they leave out large groups of people. a lot of leftists want what’s best for minorities, while righties want what’s best for americans (white people). INDEPENDENTS want what’s best for everybody, and they’ll never get it because of this dumb 2 party system

leftists want what’s best for everybody lmfao, they want egalitarianism, that’s what the political left stands for Plus I simply can’t understand how anyone could be an independent in this climate unless you’re to the left of the democrats tbh

that’s genuinely so stupid. i know leftists WANT what’s best for everybody, and that’s “what the party stands for” but there are times where that just doesn’t happen. but if you don’t understand how you can be independent then genuinely you are just as close minded as a trump supporter saying that TDS is real

What policy have the republicans proposed that you think is better than the Democratic proposal or left-wing proposal? Because personally idk if I could even name one

i haven’t been alive long enough to agree with a republican yet cause it’s only been trump, but reagan did some things for the environment, trumps first term he tried to help the working class with taxes, but generally i agree with democrats more on big legislation. also i know this is a straw man argument but tbf lincoln did free slaves.

All of Reagan’s environmental projects were supported by Democrats (and some were even forced by Democrats over Reagan’s head), Trump’s first term tax cuts benefitted the rich while hurting the working-class factually, and the 1860s Republican Party is vastly different than the modern Republican Party

i know 1860s republicans are vastly different hence why i said it wasn’t a good arguement. but there you have it, a republican that can admit when his party is wrong and is willing to do something about it. republicans aren’t the only issue, it’s people not admitting they’re wrong, and work with the other party to make a collective decision.

also to be clear, i wasn’t backing trump, i just said it seemed like he was trying to help for once. still want him 6 feet below

Yes, I can abeee with this, I just don’t wish to work with Republicans because there is very little I agree with them on. I agreed with Massie’s foreign policy, but now even he got voted out.

massie is another great example, also a great example of these idiots not being able to admit when they are wrong, and hating when something they slightly disagree with is actually accurate. you can wish to not work with or date republicans in fear of argument without completely dissing them. i dislike anyone completely far right or 100% far left and choose not to associate with them in fear of that exactly

I mean, I could, but why would I not diss Republicans? Their political views and policies actively hurt our country.

SOME of them just need guidance to be shown why their views actively hurt people. i used to be almost 100% right until i went to college and truly learned, and now im independent. like i said tho, if they can’t learn, that’s the issue, thats when you shit on them. that’s when you know they physically can’t learn.

but yeah you can definitely shit on the ones in office. they clearly haven’t learned anything and never will, even in death

Well, yeah, politicians on both sides deserve criticism, but that’s more the nature of politicians being grifters generally all over the political spectrum lol, like Nancy Pelosi advocating for banning Congress stock trading only after she became worth millions and millions of dollars 😭

Downvoting this but I’m also left leaning. A broken clock is right twice a day. Getting miners health benefits and pensions is absolutely deserving because working in mines leads to so many health problems 😭

In fact I feel this policy is almost very left leaning as it is something that helps support a minor group of people. Even tho it was done by the right

i downvoted it because it was democrat backed, and at the end of trumps term. in my eyes trump only passed it to try to get on democrats side for the upcoming election and make them think he cared about everyone. i think it’s good but i don’t believe he truly cared

he still passed it could’ve said no. I guess to me it was still something for as rigid as he is. And no I’ve never voted for him and I never would lmao.
