There’s lots of reasons that a birth of a child could lead to the creation of vast amounts of suffering that would otherwise not exist. Sometimes there is value in abortion for the reduction of suffering. Where’s the value in exterminating a living child through cancer or other random illness? What gave god that right? Doesn’t really matter if we call the action “good” or not, I doubt the child would say it’s good
A child killed by cancer is not a child killed by his parents, even more differently is a being which cannot express itself being terminated without moral consideration or value. That’s why it is a dilemma for me, because I do give it moral human protections. Hopefully that child got to be around people that loved them, which isn’t the case for abortions.
Suffering is part of life, either by the decisions we make, or others make, or the happenings of the universe. How can you control suffering without removing the opportunity for good? How do you have the right to deliberate? How will you know the ultimate price? That’s why God is better, because He, being unrestricted, has access to all points in time, and the inventor knows the invention. It’s humbling, but when you think this way you realize how small you are, yet how much you matter.
