Uh yeah.. they generally favored open-door policy on immigration, viewing the new nation as a, "asylum" for the persecuted

What are you talking about? In 1790 the Founders who were very much alive instituted a policy that made immigration only from some European countries.

In 1790 the general population didn’t include non-Europeans as people either. Do you want to argue that non-Europeans shouldn’t have rights? Or can you fire up your one braincell and apply that thinking to modern times?

Don’t compare yourselves to the Founders or think they would’ve liked you. George Washington crushed an internal rebellion with the federal military.

Washington literally led an internal rebellion against the government you ignoramus. Over much less.
