I think this is more akin to operation just cause than it is to the invasion of Iraq, especially due to there being no Islamic militants funded by Iran

Aside from Operation Just Cause being a humanitarian disaster, it did not evolve to the scope of nation building Trump has explicitly stated we will be running Venezuela for the foreseeable future, it is absolutely going to be another Iraq

Not to mention the incentive for the US military to spend as little time as possible in Panama because of the canal, it would have risked escalation with other countries reliant on it for international shipping There is no such incentive in Venezuela

Wdym they transitioned back into a democracy afterwords, also the fighting on the ground is what caused a crisis. Just cause was a lot more dirty than what just happened, a lot more fighting on the ground.
