We’d be so much better off without backwards-ass oppressive religions. Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, any good they do is far outweighed by the religious psychosis, bigotry, abuse, and butchery they all have been causing for centuries.

Can you just explain to me how each of these religions are backwards-ass oppressive today?

Christianity hiding and encouraging abuse while pushing the US into becoming an even worse fascist shithole after being used as a justification for the enslavement of black folks. Judaism being used as a tool of the Christians and genocidal governments to justify their white supremacist landgrabs/genocides. Props to the Jewish folks against the genocide though, and nothing against the folks who’re just ethnically Jewish either. Islam is used to repress populations by way of theocratic states-

Don’t even need to say more there. Hinduism, Hindu nationalists and how they treat any Muslims they see. If you research the caste system in India and the way they treat the Dalits you’ll be sickened. Religion is a plague upon humanity.

Are you talking about real Christianity or the fake “Christianity” that politicians use as a talking point?

Both. Christianity in Europe has its own problems, but for the United States, slavery and genocide were justified in large part by Indians and Africans not being Christian. When enslaved people started converting to Christianity, the concept of race was created to justify slavery. The Bible was used to teach enslaved people their place, it was used to justify slavery, and it was also used by abolitionists to call for the destruction of slavery.
